2005-12-04 [Tamel]: this is the first time i have entered one of these competitions even tho i have been a member of elftown and have been using it and putting up paintings for over a year ^_^ - my picture was painted then i used microsoft paint to add in the snow.... i hope you all like it (ive never had the privilage to own or use a photomanip/photoshop package)

2005-12-06 [Paz]: I wanted to enter this contest, the timing of the deadline ruined it because I have exams the whole week and I do not have a chance to create anything new or colour anything old. Frankly, Dec. 15th is not a reasonable deadline for a Christmas art contest >3

Second, people are often going to have real life commitments which may stop them entering a contest for one reason or another, it doesn't make you extra special. If we had it later (as with the halloween competition this year) people would complain it was too close to the event and the deadline wasn't long enough (which they did). Personally I think your entry seems to fit the theme with the description you've given it, but there's always more contests another time if you're not happy with it.
